My Portfolio Description

All the pieces in my portfolio are personal projects so far. I am inspired by timeless stories, like 'The Island of the Blue Dolphins' by Scott O'Dell and "The Hobbit" by J.R.R. Tolkien and my native folk tales, such as "Morozko" by Alexander Afansyev and "The Tale of Tsar Saltan" by Alexander Pushkin, that had influenced my childhood and youth in the most profound way. Illustrators like Ivan Bilibin and Jill Barklem appeal to me. I gravitate towards characters who possess grit and determination, are unafraid of toil and capable of overcoming many obstacles to reach their goal, like those in "The Lord of the Rings" by J.R.R. Tolkien, "Which Witch?" by Eva Ibbotson, and my absolute favorite, the Harry Potter saga by J.K. Rowling.

Media

I use mixed media in my work gravitating towards watercolor, gouache, color pencil, and ink.

No Use of Artificial Intelligence

I enjoy both traditional and digital art and like to edit my physical paintings and drawings in Procreate. I do not use AI in my work.
